Above inflation increase to BW boat licences
British Waterways will  increase boat licence fees by 5.1% from  April — a figure that they say is 2% above the governments Consumer Price Index — and with the increase in VAT next year the increased cost to the boat owner will be more than 7%. More>>

Young Farmers K&A haul for charity
Malmesbury young Farmers hauled a 70ft narrowboat from Bradford on Avon to Pewsey.  The team of 27 took three days for 25 mile trip that included 36 locks — and they raised more than £7,000 for chairity. More>>
